Who are we?
And what are we doing.
We didn’t start as The Nicotine Project. We started as Rights 4 Vapers. And yes, the name says vaping. but what we were always fighting for was something bigger: the right for people who smoke to have access to safer options. Vaping was the entry point, not the destination.
Rights 4 Vapers was built at a time when one thing was clear: people were quitting smoking using vaping, and access to it was under threat. So we fought back. We organized, we spoke up, and we protected that option. And it mattered. But over time, something else became clear. we were defending one solution in a much bigger problem.
People don’t quit smoking in one way. They switch between products, they experiment, and they find what works for them. Vapes, pouches, patches, gum, inhalers, cold turkey, all of these play a role. And yet, the conversation. and the policies never caught up to that reality. Instead, we watched the same pattern repeat: one product targeted at a time, disinformation recycled and repackaged, and nicotine itself turned into the villain. All while cigarettes remained widely available.
That’s when it hit us: this was never just about vaping.
The Nicotine Project is an evolution of Rights 4 Vapers, not a departure, but an expansion. Because the real issue isn’t one product, it’s the system of misinformation and policy failure surrounding nicotine as a whole. We’re done playing defense for one category while the bigger picture gets ignored. We’re stepping back to ask why the truth about nicotine is being distorted in the first place.
We want to go deeper. We won’t apologize, and we won’t cower. We’re exposing the myths that have shaped public perception, the policies that don’t match the evidence, and the narratives that keep people confused. We are going to look at the people that are keeping the truth away from you. The people that add confusion to the narrative and the people that choose to define all of us who use nicotine products as bad, shameful and not valued. We are not holding back.
Rights 4 Vapers was never just about vaping. It was about rights. It was about being heard. It was about refusing to let people who smoke be left without choices. This is the next step in that fight.
If we’re serious about reducing smoking, we need to be honest about nicotine, all of it. No more half-truths. No more selective messaging. No more pretending. No more letting someone else define us.
It’s about truth, choice and people.
We are just getting started.
